Jeffrey Zelikson
Principal

With twenty-five years of experience in the areas of environmental policy and implementation issues, Jeffrey Zelikson has served clients in both the private and public sectors. He has been involved in hazardous waste site policy-making and remediation activities since the first such sites were discovered in the late 1970s. His direct field experiences and decision-making responsibilities at scores of sites have provided significant value to PHB's clients involved in disputes over insurance coverage for environmental damage and other environmental matters. He has provided input to projections of future clean-up costs, forming the basis for large financial claims, and has assisted clients in developing strategic site remediation approaches that maximize shareholder value and minimize remediation costs. Mr. Zelikson also provides expert testimony on a variety of environmental matters.

Before joining PHB, Mr. Zelikson held various executive positions with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, in both San Francisco and New York, including the Hazardous Waste Division for the EPA's western regional office. He also served as director of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Water Resources Division, and as project manager with Esso Research and Engineering Company (now Exxon).

Mr. Zelikson received a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the City University of New York. He also holds a professional engineering license.
