
Prior to joining PHB, Ms. Williams was president of Williams and Vanino, Inc., an environmental management consulting firm. Before co-founding this firm, Ms. Williams was the divisional vice president for environmental policy and planning at Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI). She co-chaired BFI�s Environmental Policy Committee and was also vice president for environmental and regulatory affairs for the company�s hazardous waste subsidiary.
Before joining BFI, Ms. Williams worked for 18 years at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Among her positions at the EPA, she served as the director of the Office of Solid Waste and as deputy assistant administrator for the EPA�s Office of Pesticides and Toxic Substances. She also held several technical and management positions within the EPA.
Ms. Williams holds a B.S. in math and physics from Dickinson College, where she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. She has completed graduate work at the University of Maryland.
