Hoff Stauffer
Managing Director

Hoff Stauffer has more than twenty-five years of professional experience consulting to clients in energy industries. He focuses on the major strategic issues that CEOs of electric utilities and related industries face.

Mr. Stauffer has testified before various regulatory commissions, congressional committees and courts of law. He speaks frequently at industry forums, including the Aspen Institute Energy Policy Forum. His publications include Vision 2000 for the U.S. electric utility industry.

Prior to joining PHB, Mr. Stauffer was a vice president with Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc., where he was co-leader of the global electric utility practice. Before joining Booz-Allen he was chairman of the board of ICF Inc. in Washington, D.C., where he focused on energy and environmental issues. Mr. Stauffer was formerly the first director of economic analysis at the Environmental Protection Agency and an associate with McKinsey & Company in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Stauffer holds a B.A., with high honors, in economics from Wesleyan University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was awarded the Arbuckle Award.
