
Mr. Speyer has worked for financial institutions, coal companies, electric and gas utilities, independent power producers and Fortune 500 companies on acquisitions and investment opportunities, strategy studies, fuel procurement studies and contract litigation. For more than two decades he has been involved in evaluating the economic and financial impacts of the Clean Air Act on the coal and electric utility industries. He currently advises electric utilities on strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring under competition, fuel procurement, investment in independent power projects and compliance with environmental regulations. He has also assisted law firms with litigation matters and has testified before Congress, public utility commissions and federal and state courts.
Mr. Speyer was previously a principal with ICF Inc. He received a B.S. in industrial engineering from the University of Michigan and an M.P.A. in economics and public policy from Princeton University.
