Eric D. Shimabukuro
Principal

Eric Shimabukuro specializes in intellectual property and insurance valuation matters, relying upon economic analysis to serve clients in negotiations and commercial litigation. His work has involved analyzing current and projected environmental clean-up and asbestos injury insurance claims and valuing insurance coverage; developing statistical models to determine potential liabilities for clients; estimating intellectual property damages for computer technology, electronics and consumer products; and preparing trial testimony and pleadings.

Prior to joining PHB, Mr. Shimabukuro was an economist with the Special Projects and Industry Applications Group at the Argonne National Laboratory, where he examined methods to lower nuclear power plant construction costs. He was also an instructor in economics at Delta College and at the University of Chicago, where he did research evaluating the economic efficiency of various federal energy policies.

Mr. Shimabukuro holds a B.A., with highest honors, in economics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and an A.M. in economics from the University of Chicago.
