
Dr. Dewling founded and is president of Dewling Associates, Inc. Previously, he was chairman/CEO of Metcalf & Eddy, Inc., one of the top five U.S. environmental engineering firms. He has served as commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and held a number of positions in his twenty-year tenure at the EPA, including director of oil and hazardous materials research and regional administrator, Region II.
Dr. Dewling was an industrial/hazardous waste consultant to Korea, Brazil and Nigeria. He was editor of Wastes Engineering Magazine and has published numerous articles on wastewater treatment technology, ocean pollution and solid and hazardous waste management and treatment.
Dr. Dewling is a registered professional engineer and licensed sewage treatment plant operator. He received a B.C.E. from Manhattan College, an M.C.E. from New York University and a Ph.D. in environmental science from Rutgers University. He is a diplomate in the American Academy of Environmental Engineers.
